Afsaneh Motamed-Khorasani is a senior research scientist from the University of Toronto with more than 12 years of research experience. She earned her B.Sc. degree in Obstetrics from the Medical University of Shahid Beheheshti in 1992, M.Sc. degree in Reproductive Physiology from The University of British Columbia in 1999 and Ph.D. degree in Reproductive Endocrinology (Ovarian Cancer) from the University of Toronto in 2006. Dr. Motamed-Khorasani’s research focuses on high throughput approaches in the context of cancer informatics. Dr. Motamed-Khorasani has a diverse background in Clinical trials, basic research, intellectual property, and industry. She has published three first author papers in the high rank refereed scientific journals as well as more than 20 research abstracts/presentations. Of particular interest is the use of comparative analysis for the mining of integrated different datasets such as protein-protein interaction, and gene expression profiling.
